Riding a bike on an island in Massachusetts, while listening to the symphony of the ocean waves inspired me to recreate this secluded floral field and as a colourist; I had to capture it. Tiny sections of this painting made me think of varied Color Field and even Abstract Expressionist paintings once I finally completed it.
